• NEW this year, Hidden Valley Community Association (HVCA) will be joining Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA), for U8 and U10 Soccer! Joining CMSA allows HVCA access to resources that will enable us to provide increased skill development, for both coaches and participants in soccer.

• U4 and U6 will continue to be part of the Timbits Soccer Program within HVCA. Tim Horton’s will provide a t-shirt for each player to use and keep. HVCA will provide an individual photo, team photo and participant medal for each player to keep. HVCA also provides soccer balls and nets for each team to use. We recommend parents purchase cleats and shin pads.U4 and U6 Soccer will continue to play at Valley Creek School. Each team will have 2 practices/games scheduled per week (practice time is the first half of every game). Players are placed on teams randomly, with no skill tryouts. No scores are kept – the focus is on fun!

• U8 will be part of Shane Homes City League. Shane Homes will provide Jersey Kits including: jersey, shorts and socks for every player to use and keep each season. Medals and free registration to the CMSA Minifest (June 5th, 2011) are also included. HVCA will provide an individual and team photo for each player to keep. U8 Soccer will continue to play at St. Elizabeth Seton School. There is an option for U8 team(s) to play other communities, if there is enough interest.

• U10 will be part of City League - Tiers A, B, and C. HVCA will provide Jersey Kits including: jersey, shorts and socks for every player to use, not keep. HVCA will provide an individual photo, team photo and medal for each player to keep.
  • Tiers are based on talent level, with “A” being the highest and “C” being the lowest. Player evaluations will be conducted closer to the start of season (time and location to be announced). Evaluations ensure each team is created to equally match other teams with similar skill levels. U10 will have some travel to other communities.

• U12 will continue to be part of the Inter Community House League within HVCA. HVCA will provide Jersey Kits including: jersey, short and socks for every player to use, not keep. HVCA will provide an individual photo, team photo and medal for each player to keep.
  • U12 players are placed on teams randomly, with no skill tryouts. HVCA needs 16 boys or/and 16 girls to create a team and play within the Inter Community House League. Please register early; a full refund will be given if a team cannot be made. U12 and U14 will have some travel to other communities.

• Volunteers are essential for our Sports Programs to run. Please select one volunteer position listed on the Parent/Guardian Information Registration form when you apply.
  • All soccer teams are Parent Coached. Whether you have previous soccer experience or not, we need your leadership! We provide excellent Coach / Assistant Coach Training.
  • We also need Referees for our U10 to U14 programs. Regardless of previous experience, we provide Referee Training for all our volunteers.
